Current route closures and restrictions
A survey of all known closures on marked routes of intra-city importance that pose an obstacle to cyclists on the route. Please, note that the actual closure may lack the relevant traffic signage or signs showing available by-pass routes. We cannot guarantee that the information contains all data for the City of Prague |

Prague Integrated Transport and bicyclists
Carriage of bicycles on public transport is an important supplement of bicycle transport as it enables cyclists to overcome longer distances, the city centre, steep uphills, water streams or other obstacles (poor weather, defective bike etc.). Bikes may be transported on the Metro system (subway), on trains, ferries and the bus line AE. Since bicycles are often used to get to a public transport station or stop, we also provide basic information on the B+R system and bike storage |

General rules of bicycle transport (as of July, 1 2006)
According to the Act No. 361/2000 Coll.: If there is a marked bicycle line or a bicycle path, bicyclists are obliged to use it. On roadways, bicyclists shall keep to the right side of the roadway. Bicyclists are only allowed to ride separately, in a single file (one after another). Bicyclists are allowed to pass or overtake vehicles in convoy or traffic jam (a row of vehicles) from a right side. Bicyclists shall not endanger pedestrians. Bicyclists younger than 18 years of age are obliged to wear a safety helmet while riding |

Difficult spots
When riding your bike, you may encounter obstacles that may threaten your save return home. Ideally, marked bike paths and routes do not contain such obstacles. However, risks can be posed even by kerbstones or drain covers. We have prepared a photo overview of such spots.
